Caucus Question

Is the only topic of debate during a caucus the presidential nomination? Are there other questions on the ballot? Does this vary from state to state? If so, does anyone know the specifics of the ballot in MN?

In my precinct, they ran out of ballots and everyone was just told to write their nomination on a slip of paper. I saw lots of Rep. and Sen. signs around. They might be just getting their name out, I didn't stick around since it was super packed.
