Cats do the strangest things.

My wife's cat will make this fang face when he smells something he doesn't like.
So this morning I'm getting ready for work and the cats are standing out in the hallway and my wifes cat walks up and sticks his nose in my cat's butt. So I'm trying to tell my wife's cat to stop it. So finally I shoo him away from my cat and he has the fang face.
I'm like well if you sniff someone's ass what did you expect?

Do cat's normally do this or is my wife's cat just plain weird?

no that is a fairly normal thing for cats to do actually. My cat does it all the time. But usually from sticking his nose in the carpet. It isn't that they don't like the smell, they use their tongues to "taste" smells kinda like a snake.

My cat tried to jump through a open window the other day, but was rebuffed by the screen we recently installed. My wife was painting, and the cat felt free to come and go by jumping up through the empty window. Well, we finished painting, and the dog was chasing the cat, so the cat decides she had enough, and goes to fly out the window. Boof! Bounces right back down to the waiting dog. Wish I had it on tape 🙂

Actually, cats smelling another cats rear end or nose is a form of friendly greeting. Try putting your face near a cat and "sniff" their nose. If they like you, they'll try to sniff yours too. I do this all the time with my cats.

Interesting I didn't know that. I've done the nose sniffy thing with the cats and they sniff my nose right back. Guess they like me. 😛
