I have been quite frequent in the hot deals forum lately as I am still in the purchasing mode after relocating to my new school. More often than not, it isnt exactly easy to come up with a effective search keyword, as most products do not have identifiers of what category of goods they belong (i.e. video cards, motherboards, clothing), and the posters usually dont make much effort to compensate for that.
So, I would like to ask whether it would be possible to add an optional field (or a tag) - perhaps manually entered by the poster - that could be used as search criteria. For FS/T forum, this wouldnt make much sense as the posters have a consolidated list of things to sell for the most part; hot deals forum, on the other hand, has many if not the majority of the posts on an individual item on sale and such.
This, of course, should only be considered if there is a feasible ways of implementation that the new forum system allows. My appologies if this is a naive and pointless inquiry, just thought it wouldnt hurt to ask
