categories, where you are

FORUMS > Suggestion Box at the top of the page may not be sufficient. To further illustrate the point...

FORUMS > General (but I'm in the Automotive --> General) section. With so many new categories, I was lost for a second and couldn't remember if that was for General Hardware or Off Topic's General (as opposed to something like Love and Relationships).

Perhaps this would work better (3 examples):
FORUMS > Hardware and Technology > General Hardware
FORUMS > Automotive > General
FORUMS > Support > Suggestion Box

You get the idea...

Off Topic doesn't have a General sub-category? It's just Off Topic 😕

Even though there are no duplicate sub-categories, it should list the category first

Im not sure if i like how many sub categories there are now, everythings so divided up, theres too many.

Came into this section to post this, along with another suggestion.

Endorsement +1.

True, but how am I supposed to remember what categories have what sub-categories? That's the point... this will tell you and there's no guess-work.

There's the sidebar or that thing in your head 😉 There aren't that many categories/sub-categories anyway. Maybe I'm the only person on AT that leaves the sidebar open and browses using that?

I really don't see a massive problem as there are no duplicates and the thread you're in or the thread list should give you a massive hint where you are even if your brain has gone on strike for the day 🙂 I already agreed with you in the first post though cos every other forum has "category > sub category".
