Goddamnit, I hate this! It's so annoying!

nothing like being 5 miles ahead of an opponent and then 2 seconds later he's right on your ass.

I'm playing NFS: Most Wanted and its extremely noticeable in it. I'd also like to know how when i'm going like 180 MPH with the NOS on, how the opponents can fly by you and keep gaining distance all without even touching their own NOS.

My biggest peeve in racing games is how you bumping them moves you.. them bumping you moves you.. and no matter what, they stay on course..

I like finding an opportunity where I can destroy my opponent.. like.. run him off a cliff or something.. :p I think at least NFS lets you do that..

In MW, not really, or doesn't seem like it. Regular cars and police cars you can bump around a good bit, but not other races. I liked that one game, some thing Revenge, on PS2. You could totally destroy your opponents, but i think it had catch up also.

i saw that option in MW and I thought I turned it off, but maybe I didn't? i'll have to check.

I'm really enjoying Burnout 3 : Takedown - nothing like forcing an opponent into a concrete column at 150 mph.

It works the other way around too. I've had instances where I hit an oncoming car and the AI car is not far ahead.

NFS: MW seems to also throw more trafffic your way when you're ahead. I'm on Blacklist 12 (or so) and I have the Supra and RX-8. I have both of these cars maxed out and I just smoke everybody. After 1 lap, they have no chance. Even with the catch up, they never catch up and go out of my radar map. At this point, the game throws more traffic my way with most of the cars right at the trouble spots (hiding at the end of a long turn)

BTW, that Mia chick is HOT!!! The main character better tap that at the end. :)

NFS: MW rules. The catch-up stuff does get old, but I spend most of my time on the run anyway. Running from the cops is just so fun for some reason. Blowing through roadblocks and looking back to see 3 or 4 squad card cartwheeling through the air...

I was on blacklist 6 yesterday and went and got over 400,000 in bounty, raced the first 2 against blacklist 5, then my 360 locked up. I cried.

The catchup concept is okay but it's way too pronounced in MW. If you go too far ahead of the AIs, they cut across the track and go in a straight line to reach you. I believe you can turn it off in single races but not in the career mode.

This game is generally great fun otherwise. I like sitting on top of the bus station during pursuits and watching the cops go nuts. :D

Josie Maran. Yeah, she's spectacular.

I also thought the catch up in MW was annoying. It would've been better if they implemented it so that the AI catches up between races, not during a race.
