uumm...trial and error...you try to cash one it doens't work...you see what didn't work...you fix it accordingly.

Keep in mind no one actually know what an airline check looks like. If you pass off a check that looks good enough with a logo and get the routing # on the bottom right no one is any wiser. Especially if you're wearing the right uniform.
 
Don't you know how checks are made? You print them. It's that simple. Back then they didn't do magnetic coding. They just had routing numbers.
