at first i thought this was pointless, but i can see how it would be handy if you are stuck in the wild marshes of australia and you need to catch a rabbit for food and all you have lying around is snakes

I have found myself in that EXACT situation many times. It was always so frickin' frustrating. Thanks!

The reverse is also true. If you have a bunch of rabbits lying around and need to catch a snake the rabbit is good bait.

Australians. Why would you waste all that time catching rabbits when you've got all those snakes to eat?

they are poisonous though

They are not poisonous. They are venomous. Big difference. Go ahead and eat the damn snake.

Or do what I do: stay the fuck out of Australia and near plentiful food supplies in the form of grocery stores and restaurants.

So he's got a net, he knows where the rabbits are and theres lots of dried grass around.

Why does he need snakes exactly? Apart from the fact that snake tastes a lot better than rabbit.
