I recently installed the intel driverto add a 3rd monitor and my power control sliders are missing from my 2 6970s. I tried uninstalling ati drivers then reinstalling, didn't help. I uninstalled intel, and boom, power sliders are back.

Is this a known issue and is there a resolution? I'd really like to use my i5-2500k onboard graphics but if it means no power sliders i'm inclined not to. Is there a fix?

Wut?

You installed Intel video drivers when you have an AMD video card?

Couldn't you just use the 6970s to drive the third display?

Its possible :) so he could have, he choose to use the onboard IGP for one though instead.

Like Nickb64 said though.... youd probably be better off just running every monitor off your 2x6970's.

AMD's drivers/settings and solutions for multi moniter setups, is as good as it gets. Mix and match with Intel IGP and AMD GPU, is just gonna bog you down with tons of issues (for no reason).

I am using the onboard GPU in my 2500k to power a 3rd monitor along side the two monitors that are being powered by my 2x 4870x2 setup.

I had some quirky issues at first. As odd as it sounds, what solved all of my issues is setting the onboard IGP as primary in the BIOS. My main monitor is still set as primary in Windows. When I boot up, the POST info shows up on the 3rd monitor but once I'm in windows everything is as it should be. The AMD cards don't seem to care if they are primary or not in the BIOS but the Intel IGP seems to.

By power controls you mean powertune? This happened to me also. I had a spare nvidia card that I used for a 4th monitor, and with that card installed, no powertune options. My research on the issue turned up nothing.

hmm just buy active DP to DVI adapter, its will only cost you $20 and save you from driver problem, especially we know how good intel driver is

Exactly. Why or how is it possible that this issue has never been addressed by anyone?! I will try the trick the other guy suggested - making the intel monitor the primary, see if it helps.

Just out of curiosity overlordi, are you back to mining now that coins are up to $6.50+?
