Catalyst Control Center Required?

I heard CCC is total bloatware. Can I install the driver only or is the CCC required?

If I can install just the driver, will I be missing anything good by not using CCC?

Thanks,
CxP

If you're not doing Crossfire all you need is the base driver + ATi Tray Tools. Don't bother with .NET or CCC.

Yeah, you can replicate CCC's functionality with ATI Tray Tools and ATI Tool. I actually have no idea what CCC looks like as I have never had to install it at all.

I'd install CCC anyway just incase I needed it even if I'd never use it.
I think it's "alright" to just have it there since it's not like it's running in the background. I just disable the icon in the system tray and install ATI Tray Tools. If I need to get into CCC I still can.

Have fun with that X1900XTX 🙂
I've heard HDR+AA is da bomb, but I wouldn't know anything about that 😛
