I just spent the better part of 15 minutes cleaning up this thread. I have removed all posts that threadcrap, name call and other posts that are not fit for this discussion of ATI drivers. If you can't keep it civil and cannot keep it to the topic at hand, either don't post or this thread will be locked.

I wonder where Nvidia and AMD pull this performance out of with these latest drivers? If the numbers that are listed above are true, then that is quite an acomplisment.

Looks like the powerplay on restart issue is fixed. No more starting a game just to get it to reset to desktop speeds. And I think Microsofts update today cured my screen corruption starting up MassEffect and Fallout3. When I started them I would get a blocky rendition of the desktop. Think it was a Securom issue, not sure but MassEffect started it.

Has anyone with 4850 crossfire confirmed that these install OK?

I don't feel like doing another re-format from getting the BSOD

Catalyst Control Center says it doesn't support my driver version for some reason. I've used DriverSweeper already and reinstalled and it gives me the same problem...

Radeon HD4870 512

1920x1200 2xAA 16xAF everything maxed
Far cry 2 from 37 fps to 42.5 still hitches in dx10 mode but I can still fix it with the limit

Fallout 3 I haven't benchmarked but my FPS are much more stable than before, my fps are generally in the 50's or showing the 60 fps cap using settings above, game is substantially smoother

This is the only before & after #'s I have but I'll post more game benchies in a while

After turning my HDTV the screens don't blink and don't switch/turn off/similar. Awesome set!

Has anyone tried the ATI stream support and the Avivo video converter with the new driver?

Just installed these, let's what happens.

EDIT: GTA IV crashed horribly. The screen became covered in gray squares and the whole system locked. It might be because of my overclock and because I have 28 C in my room. I don't know...

Give me 30 mins and I'll get back to you on that.

Vantage is running fine,no artifacts at all,I don't have anything overclocked.I'll keep it running for awhile and see what happens.

I wish I had heard from you before trying on my own system. You're running Server 2008 32-bit, right?

Everyone on the ATI forums is having trouble with Vista x64 and "incompatible hardware". I'm running Server 2008 x64 and having the same issue.

Also, I did a uninstall and sweep and now have the error in 8.11 when they used to work fine.
