I'm still running 6.10.

Do any of the new drivers improve performance?

For what it's worth, I'm having an incredible amount of problems with my new computer (e6300, ds3 3.3, x1900gt) running 7.3 CCC and dispaly drivers. I'm probably going to uninstall it and run 7.2 instead. Is ATI's uninstaller reliable or do I need to be tricky about removing them?

So far so good. I had problems with the 7.2's, I ended up using the 7.2 display driver, wdm, and the 7.1 CCC. The 7.3's work flawlessly so far on my X1950XT. The CCC does indeed load faster and the performance boost from the 7.2's is there. Some games like Cod2 got a noticable inprovement in framerate. Two thumbs up.

The new CCC is known to have some problems.
If you are going to use 7.3, just do the driver by itself, for example option2 on this page for Radeon Desktop cards:
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.html

First I updated my chipset drivers (NForce2). Didn't check for available updates to the GPU BIOS, I am on a 9800 Pro flashed to XT.

With both the changes, I picked up about a thousand 3DMark03 points: 6334 to 7522 in 3dMark03

For fun I ran 3dMark06. Sad. My score was 1154 at max OC: 445/370

works fine with my newly installed Vista Business w/ CCC...
was hoping ATI would add in GPu speed/temps while in-game tho, like ati tray tools did
