Catalyst 6.8 doesn't work!

Yeah Counter strike source doesn't work with this new driver, and I wanna roll back to something that I know works like 6.7 or 6.6. Is there a way to do this?

Use the Ati Software Uninstaller in your Add or Remove Programs. Download version 6.7 and install it after the reboot from the uninstall.

How to Nuke Drivers.
First google and download Driver Cleaner Pro. (and install it)

Now:
-Uninstall drivers the "normal" way by using device manager
-Reboot into safe mode (F8)
-Run Driver Cleaner Pro with the "ATI" profile
-Run Cab Cleaner on all your cab files
-Go into device manager to make sure you have no video cards installed (still in safe mode)
-Reboot
-Install Drivers (preferable XG Warcats (6.7))
-Reboot
-Tweak
-???
-Profit 🙂

If you don't know how to uninstall 6.8, how did you uninstall 6.7 prior to 6.8? If you just installed 6.8 over 6.7, that might be the reason for your problems.

DCPro, definitely.

Follow wizboy's instructions. My 9800Pro driver install was buggy until I did DCPro correctly (make sure you're in Safe Mode to release the driver remnants). Now my X1900XT's running like a champ (BF2, Oblivion, & GRAW smooth with no issues).

wait, you have to uninstall old versions before installing new versions? I always just installed over top of them, never ran into any problems til now.

OMG. I was about to make a grumpy post about how bad CCC 6.8 was, I couldn't even get it to install properly, ATI sucks, etc...

When I was typing the post, I was going to put exact details including the directories I tried to manually install the driver from (since it wouldn't automatically detect).

During that process, I realized I downloaded the "Control Center Only" for 6.8... 🙂 Oops...

So, since I'm no longer grumpy, I'll use this space to state that I've been 100% satisfied with this X800, and haven't run into a single problem with ATI drivers (that weren't my own fault 🙂 ). I'll probably stay on the ATI path for my next upgrade too.

Since I'm an old nVidiot at heart, back from the TnT days, that's saying somethig.

I do the same thing, never had an issue, though I use the omega drivers instead, I dunno if that changes anything or not.
