Catalyst 5.3

So, new drivers are out...again. Version 6.14.10.6517 to be exact. Does anyone have any benchmark results or realtime FPS data they would like to share? Are they an improvement over 5.2?

Thanks for your response.🙂

i have a question,

when doing a simple upgrade of drivers like 5.2 to 5.3 is it still recommended to run driver cleaner first?

Yes, definitely. Use DC PE and get latest updates. Then uninstall 5.2 boot into safemode run DC PE, reboot and install 5.3

Why stop there when you can get a truely clean install by formating your drive?

Seriously, driver cleaner isn't going to do any good over simply following ATI's instructions on updateing drivers.

ATI's uninstall utility always leave certain .ini files here and there.

It takes 3 seconds to clean using DC PE version or 3.3 version.

Thanks for letting everyone in on the fact you have no clue what you're talking about.

All I said is that following ATI's instuctions will work just fine. Are you honestly trying to argue that ATI doesn't have a clue as to what they are talking about?

Bump. I didn't ask for a flame war on driver unistalls (my thread got highjacked). I want to see some good benchmarks or FPS info.

Like posted above there was already a thread with that info, so thread is dead.
