I know these are stackable (they call it clustering on these, I believe) layer 2 switches.

Do they support etherchannel with ports on multiple switches or is that only available on the 3750s?

Cisco's old marketing material is not forthcoming with details about the actual supported features of the switch clusters, and Google is no help in finding a straight answer.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No cross chassis etherchannel. The stacking sucked as did the switches. The only real think the stacking did was provide a single management IP address for the "stack", other than that it was useless.

Hmm...well, that'd be why there wasn't any information about the stacking feature...if it doesn't do anything, it's just a marketing word.

Thanks for the info.

indeed...while the aim was to ease management, ive always found it to be more trouble than its worth.

The only time I'd use the 3500XL's is to support small sites w/ only a few phones or AP's for their inline power.

Well, I've got a 10 year old Bay Networks switch or one of these to use. No brainer, imo.

It's pretty much for personal use anyway. I was just curious.
