Just thinking out loud....

If you chilled down the 9800 XT with something like a Vapochill, how well would Overdrive work since it is based on the reading from a diode in the GPU?

Hmmmm...... Too bad I do not have any LN2 around ......

na doesn't work.
it seems like overdrive works in 3 modes depending on the temperature
412,419 and 432 mhz (looks like overdrive affects core only, not mem)

so even if you chill the thing vapo-mazing down it will still run on 432 mhz

better forget the overdrive imo...

I was going to say the same thing. This may also be there just incase something goes wrong with the temperature readings, so it doesn't go too high.
