Catalyst 2.2 Drivers...Where can I get them?

Since I upgraded my TI4400 to Radeon 9700, ive been having quite a few problems with game crashing, artifacts, and whatnot.

CS Crashes now all the time, where it didnt before.
UT2003 Pauses every 30 seconds since I got the 9700.
Battlefield 1942, which I just got, wont even start. I get the splash screen, and then im just looking at the desktop.

Im starting to think alot of my game problems are because of the Catalyst 2.3 set. Where can I find the older 2.2 set? As much as I do like the performance, I didnt have any of these issues with my TI4400🙁

Specs are:
P4 2.53
Radeon 9700 Pro
512 PC2700
MSI 845G Max-L

AFAIK, the 2.2 Catalysts do not support the Radeon 9700. The first driver set to do this was the 2.3's. I think there have been some newer drivers released for the Radeon 9700..have you checked Rage3D or ATI's site?

The ATI 9700 uses Catalyst 2.3 drivers. Note that you also need to download and install the matching control panel. Also, it is highly recommended that you totally uninstall all existing drivers prior to installing 2.3.

Use the 6178 drivers for the Radeon 9700. They are better than the Catalyst 2.3 drivers. The 2.2 drivers do not even support the 9700 to the best of my knowledge (I know not officially, I don't know if anyone has tried it).

6178 drivers. These are the drivers that most people (including myself) have had the best luck with on the Radeon 9700 Pro.

I would like to add that the 6178 is kind of a large download, but it includes the Control Panel and Direct3D patch that would have to be installed with the Catalyst 2.3 drivers (unless you enjoy lockups).
