I wonder why people says AMD sucks with drivers. As far as I've sen, they've been pretty good about them.

Because NV's game-ready driver yesterday has Black Ops 3 AND Anno.

AMD has just Black Ops 3.

Gamers don't care that Anno or Fallout 4 is NV sponsored, imagine if AMD performs poorly in Fallout 4, who do you think gamers will blame?

Gameready drivers have minimal effect anyways. Most of the times real effect player would really notice is crossfire/sli support (or lack of it) anyways. Ofc, sometimes you might get real performance benefits, if there really is something badly wrong that needs fixing, but most of the time it's just swap of few shaders to get that extra 1 fps.

Seems these new drivers already contain profile for Fallout 4 (hasn't been mentioned in notes). Now if AMD don't release specifix driver update for FO4 when game gets released, they will get shitstorm about it, even they already do have profile for it.

Most of the time only real problem is in crossfire support. Like even now we do get profile, but there's high chance of flickering with it.

My only real problem with AMD drivers is that huge overhead, which often leads in gpu usage drops. But generally I'm satisfied with AMD drivers. Image quality is good, and I can't remember last time I've crashed in game. Ofc this doesn't mean people don't have crashing problems.

I installed the drivers to play COD BO III in my R9 290 CF rig below (4970k) and the drivers performed very well!

Lo and behold you've got the typical forum warriors immediately jumping down AMD's throat for Fallout 4 already. It's pretty sad. Apparently, despite Bethesda repeatedly releasing extremely buggy games that only work 100% after 6 months, somehow this release is perfectly polished on day one and any and all performance issues are obviously 100% AMD's fault.

How well does it scale with crossfire? Would you say it is worth getting on sale?
