Everything was just peachy with 13.12 Catalyst. I just wanted to try the upgrade to 14.4 to see if I could squeeze better Crossfire performance in a few games (such as BF4).
I was unable to get 14.4 working on reboot no matter how I installed it (Express or Custom). Symptom after rebooting is getting a black screen/no signal to monitor on any of the DVI ports on either R290 in my main rig.
Windows 7 64-bit with latest SP and updates
2x MSI "Gaming" Radeon 290 (water cooled, factory default clocks)
i5-3570k (factory default)
Using 14.4 WHQL 64-bit driver.
Anyone else seen this/know how to get around it?
P.S. For anyone else who runs into this issue. Easiest way to get back into Windows after this happens is to boot into safe mode --> Start Menu --> Right Click on "Computer" --> Manage --> Device Manager --> Display Adapters --> "Uninstall" your video cards, then reboot.
