Legit AMD 12.8s? Sign me up!

I like how they noted that the scaling on boot was an issue. Kudos for fixing, egg on you for breaking it in the first place haha.

Is it worth upgrading to these over 12.6 if ETQW is one of the games I play?

Now that I've spent several hours playing BF3 with the 12.8's, I'm even more impressed, especially running TriFire. Used to see random hiccups and what not, which were annoying, but didn't totally disrupt gameplay. It's fair to say at this point, about 95% of that is gone.

I don't know if it's just because I'm now on Win8 or if it's the new drivers, but the issues I was having were resolved.

Enjoying these drivers so far. Just updated from 12.4
Sapphire 7950 (950/1250)
AMD 975@4.0ghz
16gb DDR3-1600

3dmark score increased by 120

Just three games I tested this morning before and after the upgrade.
Metro2033 (1920x1080) max settings 4x aa/af
12.4 - 47fps
12.8 - 52fps

Batman Arkham City 1920x1080, max settings 4x aa/af
12.4 50fps
12.8 54fps

The Witcher 2, 1920x1080 max settings (no uber sampling)
12.4 42fps
12.8 49fps

And my wake up from sleep crash seems to have resolved itself! Now I'm kinda hoping I can actually use sleep for the first time since building this rig.

Good info, thank you.

For Witcher 2 now my HD 7950 outperforms GTX 670 by an appreciable margin. (2560x1600, High settings) Meanwhile StarCraft II patch 1.5 completely messed up HD 7950's performance, trailing GTX 670's performance by a huge margin. SC II 1.5 also lowered GTX 670's performance as well.

I had been getting small graphical glitches every once in a while on my 7850. Now I have it overclocked and it works flawlessly.

These are as good and better than 12.6. I've had no issues since 12.2 but definitely seeing more solid releases from AMD since the release change.

Is it worth upgrading to these over 12.6 if ETQW is one of the games I play?
Any OGL fixes in it? I don't think so. That said these are better drivers from 12.6 all around IMO. Sure would love to buy a copy of ETQW for my Steam account but the game is gone.

These fixed a major performance bug that the preview drivers had that made the game completely unplayable that I was having in League of Legends.

What bug was that? I've played LoL with every WHQL release since the 5870/LoL were released, haven't ran into anything. Perhaps I simply didn't notice.
