CAT6 cables only getting 100MBps

I am trying to get 2 cables to show that they are 1Gbps.
I have crimped and recrimped so much that I feel sure that it is not the crimps that are the problem. They are two different types of Cat6 cables(they came from different stores).
They are showing 100Mbps in a D-Link switch and I have tried plugging them into different ports and have tried just having them hooked up alone from switch to switch and router to switch. The lights are solid amber not solid green. I've had six other cables coming out of the wall all which crimped ok and show a solid green. I recrimped the connectors thinking that maybe I did not do it rght but have the smae result. The cables are in the wall and I reall can't crimp any more as I have run out of cable(it would be very difficult.
I don't know where the terminator for my network tester is but I don't think that it would show me which end of my cable has a bad crimp. I could understan one cable having a bad crimp but both? And after I've re crimped?
Thanks

You have cables in the wall? Do you have the correct type of wire? Usually wall installs will be terminated in a block or keystone not a mod plug. There are tool-free keystones and I have used about a dozen of these with solid Cat5e.

That said, are you using the correct mod plugs? Cat 5 and 6 have different plugs because the wires are different size and then there are plugs for flat and round and solid and stranded cable.

100Mbps uses 2 pairs, green and orange, and 1Gbps uses all 4 pairs so maybe you have the brown and blue pair messed up?

I tied using keystones no matter how many I tried I could not get even one to work(the wires were not being cut into good enough).
Yes I have the correct type of wire and it works for the other six wires just not these two.
Yes I am using the correct plugs Cat 6 has a little boot that seperates the wires inside the plug.

did you buy cat6 keystones to punch into? crimping is bad, and crimping cat6 is a horrible idea...that cable is such a bitch to work with for hand crimping.
/did a couple
//didnt want to

For some reason when you hand crimp cat6 you only get 100mbps. I never really figured out why. You're best bet is to use cat5e if you crimp. I don't get gigabit speeds but I do get about 200-300mbps with them. I do believe the connectors matter too, and that may be part of the issue.

All my other crimps get 1Gbps and there are twelve of them!
I tried keystones as I stated already

This is exactly why professional installers do not crimp cat6 cable. Do yourself a favor, and punch all of your solid core cat6 cable onto keystone jacks, and use store-bought cat6 patch cables to connect devices to the jacks.

The problems you are experiencing (100mbps instead of 1000) are why you do not crimp your own cat6 cables.

You tried keystones and it didn't work for any of them? What type of cat6 cable do you have? It sounds like you might have stranded instead of solid core...

Make sure your keystone jacks are the correct wire gauge for the solid cable you're using and that they are also cat6 Cat6 comes in different sizes. And above all make sure you put the pairs correctly into the jack. Remember gigE uses all 4 pairs.

And ditto on the solid vs stranded.

I am trying to run cat 6 through my walls.
What cable should I buy?
What Keystones should I use?
I don't have any tools, what should I use?

use cat6a it is rated for 550MHz
mine just says cat6 but is rated for 550 so I don't know if it will do 10Gbps or not
monopprice has the cat6 toolless keystones and the crimps
