cat5e limitations, true ?

Frequency alone is not a good enough indicator of a cable's capacity or competency. The type of modulation or encoding of the signals, sine versus pulses versus squarewave etc.....

What'd ya have in mind?

1000BaseT gigabit Ethernet runs over cat5e today. The possibility of running 10-gigabit Ethernet over cat5e or greater UTP (special emphasis on cat5e though) is the realm of a IEEE 802 working group.
