cat shedding

I have like a short hair calico cat. And when I pet her, I can like grab hair off. I this normal? I brush her and stuff but it doesn't seem to be helping. If my hands are sweating or something and I pet her, hair will stick to it @.@ wtf?

Bah, for the past month at least my dog has been shedding like nuts. He gets a lengthy brushing every day but he's still leaving hair all over the place. You'd think they'd wait til spring when it's warming up.

she's probably shedding her lighter summer fur and growing her thicker/heavier winter coat.
My mom's cat is at least 15 years old and has done that every fall and again every spring.
My cat sheds, but not nearly as much as my moms cat did.

That's nothing, we had a Japanese Akita that shed year round. I didn't even believe there was a dog in there!!! When we gave him a bath for the first time it just after we bought him in the winter. We decided to stick him in the kitchen for the night to keep him warm. I woke up the next morning to "carpet" in the kitchen. It was very gross.

Bathe the cat from time to time as well as using a nice brush

Take a video of this too, it should be amusing. 😉

I bathe my cats at least 2 times per month, have since they were little, they know the drill and dont fight it.
