yeah, my cat lies right next to the hot air vents, which are really beefy since my laptop packs a desktop P4 3.2HT and desktop chipset. he plugs them up and the fans have to go into Boeing 747 mode.

my cat actually had the courtesy to walk around my desktop keyboard when she's milling around my desk, but I haven't had my lappy on for any significant amount of time since I got the cat two months ago.

I used to have pictures of one of my cats curled up in the on-call laptop bag from an old job.

Same cat has a habit of curling up on CRT monitors for warmth. One time he jumped on top of my 2405FPW. Good thing I was close enough to catch it as it fell forward.

That was the only time he tried, and the only time I've ever kicked a cat. Now we understand each other better.

My cat hates my laptop because it intrudes on a space he considers his: my lap. He'll come over and insistently meow while I'm using it, then either mope away or lie down next to me with an aggrieved look on his face It's pretty cute.
