Cat help needed: How can I get a cat to take 2 pills?

Get a beach towel and wrap the kitty up in it when you do this....it helps with the biting/scratching.....

Use the back of a spoon and a plate as a mortar and pestle. Grind up the pill real well and then mix it completely.

The stuff the pill down it's throat method works if you can get the cat to hold still. I usually will sit cross legged and put the cat in my lap.

that's normal procedure to get a pet to take a pill.

do the same with cats. best to hold their mouth open and put it down deep and then hold it shut.

If you need to hold the cats back legs with their body slightly upright. Hold those back legs carefully by wrapping your hand around them and holding tight. don't let go of those legs. rub throat if you have to.

a few things i do this with my dogs....a) open the mouth by putting presure on the back of the mouth throw the pill down the mouth close it than rub the cats neck for liek 30secs and itll go down...b) rap it in food and hopefally itll go down

no its not.........you have to take care of the dog by giving him a pill....hes not smacking it hes blowing on her nose.......thats what the vet says to do

We use a pill shooter with ours. I sit her on her rump facing away from me while holding her under her front arms and my wife shoots the pills into her mouth with the pill shooter.
