Hello,

I'm thinking of finally building a house and I definitely need at least CAT6A for 10g as that is what I'm just loose wiring now. I have a number of servers with 10g and HD arrays. I'm worried about having someone doing the wiring for me and it not being up to spec. I was thinking if they made wall jacks that didn't require the wires to be punched in but just had a cat6a rated coupler I could avoid the potential degradation of signal. Anyone know if they make such a thing?

You should be rightfully concerned with all the morons out there that can't even terminate 1Gbps right and are still called a 'professional'.

If I was in your shoes I would future proof by putting in conduit and then just running pre-terminated fibre so you can easily scale to 40Gb and 100Gb, because I think you're one of the few people out there that realistically will move to that in the future.
