This has nothing to do with facts. AMD hasn't been releasing monthly WHQL drivers for a long time (notice the date).
Your comment is like saying that Mac OSX is better than Windows because it updates more frequently. They just have different update cycles.
(note: please don't make this a Win vs. OSX thing. As you can see, I use both, as well as an Nvidia card at the moment)

Agreed. AMD's official drivers come quarterly now for the reasons detailed in _UP_'s link. Nvidia doesn't release official drivers monthly, or quarterly for that matter, and releases when they're ready. They have the own slew of Beta drivers.

AMD haves much more milestones now(Mantle, TrueAudio, XDMA crossfire) and principally many workarounds(E.G. frame pacing, 290x clockspeed issues) to release WHQL drivers per now.

IMO the next WHQL driver will be the Mantle 1.0 driver.
