Casual business meetings: is a bar ok?

So it's not exactly a business meeting.. Well, here's the deal: I'm a film student and will be working with a lot of actors/writers/etc. etc. for a project I started... I posted an ad and now have a list of people that I'd like to meet with in order to get to know them and to screen out the total morons... Since I'd like to meet in public places me and my producer have had meetings with people at cafes even though we're both not crazy about coffee... I'm cool with it but now he suggests that we hold our next meeting at a bar... I think that a bar might not be a good idea... thoughts?

In a hurry for an answer?

A bar might be too noisy and too much stuff going on to pay attention.

Strip bar is even better 😛

Maybe those 3 chicks from the print ad work there.......
Who knows?

It could happen:evil:

I was worried about the noise too... Anyone have any other suggestions other than a bar or a cafe?

I'd go for more of a restaurant along the the TGIFridays / Applebee's type. Better than fast food but not extravegant at all. And depending on the time of day you go it could be busy or not. Lunch is usually not.
