Why not castrate REPEAT sex offenders? I think most guys would rethink doing anything if it meant losing the family jewels.

Cause the ACLU would jump up and down and say it is against their civil liberties.

Cruel and inhuman punishment. Or... life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness... or whatever thet can come up with.

:)

Chemical castration is available (same result but through the use of pharmaceuticals, not surgery), but iirc it has to be their decision - it can't be mandated.

I don't think it would be cruel to repeat sex offenders, like a 3 strike rule, and once put into use it wouldn't be unusual.

Castrate right above the neck and I promise you there will be no more
repeating after the 1st offense.

From a legal perspective I don't think that would hold up (in courts)...That said I wish it wasn't the case.

I'm in a nice mood today, so...

They should be given a choice between either A. spending the next 20-40 years with "Bubba", or B. castration with a wooden spoon.

Is it proven to work? Not sure what studies have found, but it's quite possible that it doesn't work for repeat Offenders as their motive isn't dependant on Hormones.

I think that a repeat offender should be given the choice on the 2nd offense: life inprisonment or castration. (choices aren't cruel)
And, following castration, should one commit a 3rd offense, imprisonment, and not separated from Bubba either.
