Castaway Bay or Great Wolf Lodge - Sandusky, OH

Taking the family up to Cedar Point next week and already have reservations at Great Wolf Lodge. But, more and more posts at Tripadvisor.com have given mediocre, at best, scores for the place. Now I'm getting nervous about the place and thinking of booking at Castaway Bay. Smaller room, but discounted tickets to Cedar Point and half-hour earlier admission to the park.

Has anyone stayed at Castaway Bay or Great Wolf? What were your impressions?
