Is Real Player Basic just as good as a program meant for recording cassetts to computer. If it is not please tell me a good program to do this. If it is specs please. I am sorry for asking so many questions, but I am trying to this right and not mess up.

I remember you posted several threads about this a few months ago, but I never quite understood how you were going to get the music from a cassette to the computer?

There are tons of programsthat will do this. I used a plugin for winamp, along with musicmatch jukebox.

I use an adapter RCA to .3inch and hook it up from my cassett deck to line in.
Is realplayer basic a good program? Which would be better a boughten program designed for record Cassetts to computers or a free version of Realjukebox Basic? Do I need a reciever with a built in amp or not??

You don't need a receiver with an amp. The cassette deck should pump the audio to your soundcard without any intervention. A receiver is only useful for the speakers. As for the program I would stay away from Real Player products. I would say even a 10 dollar piece of software is better than any free Real Player product any day. I've done stuff like this before only my Creative card came with software that worked great, you could tell it what audio source to record off of.

Yeah that might work. It looks easy to use, according to the pics on their website. If that doesn't work any good I found Musicmatch 7.0 Jukebox Deluxe at Best Buy's website for $30. It got a pretty decent review on ZDNet's website, an 8.7 out of 10 reviewed by mainly customers.

I have several audio editing programs and Goldwave is one of the better ones, take a little time to learn the program it can be a little difficult in the beginning but will do anything to the audio that you can dream up.
