casio announces 60 fps still camera

pretty darn incredible. i wonder how long before it can shoot again? 60 images is a lot to process and write.

it has a super high speed movie mode of up to 1200 fps (at a very low resolution, but that's pretty damn impressive).

might actually be a pretty good camera, too. larger than usual sensor for a super zoom (1/1.8") and a lower pixel count (6 MP) should result in lower noise than its competitors.

it also has full HD and 720p movie modes. i wonder how long a movie it can take, whether it bumps up against the EU regs

I saw this and I want one.. It's a pretty cool gadget but I don't know If I'd use it too much after a while. It would just be sweet taking slow 600 and 1200 FPS movies/clips.
