Casino questions

So I finally went to a casino and gamble, at Niagara Falls. It was not very exciting probably because all I played was slots. Anyways what?s the deal with the girls walking around asking if I want a drink? Do you pay for the drink? Is the drink free? If it?s free is it only like water and soda? Or is it free but you tip the girl?

Also I didn?t play on the tables like blackjack or poker because I was afraid I look like a schmuck not knowing I guess the etiquette of how to play.

as far as blackjack, just go to the cheapest table where it looks like they are having fun.

they'll teach you. It's polite to ask if you can join though or to wait untill a new set of cards.

oh, and normally the drinks are free. but tip well and they'll keep coming.

Just tip the drink girls, I usually give them 2 bucks (2 white chips).

I didnt have any money to tip with, thats why I didnt get a drink. What I mean by that is that I had several $20 bills. I broke some down to $5 but that was the lowest the machines could do. No singles...

Normally drinks free. Some California Native casinos give free non-alcoholic beverages only. I was shocked when I had to pay $6 for a drink.

drinks are usually free, the ladies expect tips.

I've dropped 160$ into poker tables, and learned quite a bit after losing as 4th seat twice in a row.

drunk/tipsy = reckless gambling + losing money (most likely) so yes, drinks are usually free.

You can tip with chips, or tokens if you're playing slots.

Most of the Casinos I've been to charge for alcohol...but I've mostly been to the small Indian casinos in upper Michigan.

I don't remember what they did at Motor City in Detroit... it's been a long time.

What I don't get are the penny slots.... I looked at one last time we were up north, and you're still playing upwards of dollar plus (max bet) on every pull. Seems you'd be better off on quarter machines.

The casino I went to didnt use any physicall money at the slots. You put your money and gives you so much credit, cash out they print this piece of paper.

I played the penny slots, they were so boring. I want to loose already and kept winning like a dollar. Drop back down to like .50 cents and gain another dollar...

Most casinos will instructional sessions for the tables games.

Start small and cautious with a game that you feel comfortable with.

Make sure you ask the dealer(s) what the best/worst bets are in terms of odds and playing. Some casinos will also have "cheat" carads that give you basic guidelines on how to play.

Just remember, the higher payout the worse the chances.
