I am making a system...(specs in sig)....whose components I am importing from USA (I am myself not in USA tongue.gif)....I will have the PC assembled locally....so I went to the local PC shops here....and when I told them that AMD Opteron is a server based CPU, they said I need a 'server casing' blink.gif excl.gif excl.gif excl.gif ..... So do I need a special casing or what ? secondly, he also said that he will chose the casing, based on the design on the mobo's ports...i.e. the place where all the ports r on the mobo....he will see which casing it fits !?!?!? ....isnt there a standard design which all mobo's must follow..so that all ATX mobo's fit in all ATX casings ??? plus, do i need a special 'server casing', just cuz I am using an AMD Opteron ??

no, you don't need a special case. that guy was plainly trying to get you ripped off.

BTW, the Raidmax RX-9 is teh ugly 😛

get any case you awnt as long as it has 120mm fans... well its really up to you but anything elss than 120mm seems to not push enough air and is loud to me at high rpms

Yes. If you want more space to work around, you might go full tower but for most purposes, you'll be fine with a mid-tower.
