Cashier checks ?

Hello,

we're buying a car, and going to pay via a cashier check ...

but if in some case we decide to not buy a car, can we cash cashier check or what ? how do we get our money back ?

You should have been given a purchaser's copy (receipt), keep that.

If you have the original cashier's check you can usually get it refunded at your bank's branch where you first obtained the cashier's check.

If you don't have the cashier's check ask the car dealership for a refund.

Nah, he hasn't bought the car yet. Just bring the cashiers check back to the bank.

I imagine that it doesen't matter.. however, since you would have to get a cashiers check in advance, that would mean that you already know what you're going to be giving them for the car.
