Cash Advance on Credit Card?

I was wondering how one would go about getting a cash advance via an American Express credit card, call the company itself or visit a bank? Does anyone know more about this?

go to one of thier offices, they are in all major cities

if you have a PIN , you can get money from most ATM's

That's the only way? Can't do it via telephone or some eaiser way?

Should be able to setup a PIN and withdraw cash from an ATM or POS terminal.

I'm 90% sure you can't get a PIN over the phone. They'll agree to mail you one.

With Visa/MC, you can go to any bank that displays the Visa and MC logo, and get cash using your card and a photo ID. Maybe it's the same for AMEX. Any reason you didn't call the 800 number on the back of your card to ask them?
