Cases that are best for VR? Good to have HDMI port on the front?

I am finally getting into VR this winter (purchased a Samsung Odyssey) and next I need to get the PC to run it. I am likely going with a pre-built this time round.

Since the VR headset needs to connect to a USB 3.0 + an HDMI 2.0 outputs, I was thinking that the best solution would be for the computer to have both of these connection available on the front of the case.

Cases with USB 3.0 on the front are common enough, but are front HDMI connections common? They would have to internally run to the video card somehow?

Or, if possible, is it simpler to just run some kind of HDMI extension cable (male to female) like this from the back of the computer?

Since the cables on VR headset are not super long, would I perhaps just want to get extension cables regardless? Is there any downside to doing this? Is there any loss of quality of signal by doing this? (like I think USB 3.0 needs "active" cables to not lose signal).

Do I have any of this wrong or am I forgetting something?
