this store is close to me and really has the best prices, it's comparable to newegg (when you do the exchange rate).
i remember there being a site reviewing cases, but w/e...
I'm using the Athlon X2 3800 -
-ASUS A8N-E Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
-XFX PVT42GUAD3 Geforce 6800GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card.
---thanks---l

sidenote, i don't mind getting a case w/o a power supply and buying a seperate one.

or tigerdirect?

Never buy a case that comes with a power supply. Almost to a model the power supplies that come in a case combo are junk!

Buy your power supply based on specs, not brand name.

Be nice if you indicated atleast location in your profile, if you unblocked it, as it does make things a bit easyer. Ppl will suggest buys and an OP will say,"That's no good, I live in Eygpt." 😉 If you need to hide, do so.

Here's a VG PSU http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=PS-EN5150G

Here's the spec http://www.enhanceusa.com/file/72_specification.pdf

Go to http://www.80plus.org/ and look up their run-up on this fine unit.

If you want better for $89 buy a Zippy/Emacs from http://www.buildtoorderservers.com/ or http://www.myaopen.com/ Select the HG-2 6400P it has 12V@30A on a single 12V rail. It will support your system for 7-10 years. Zippy/Emacs is considered THE best by many. It's expensive and only 70% efficiant but will not fail you. It has no bells or whistles only about the best build quality at present. This unit is a bargain.

Any of the three vendors linked ships Internationally. So that covers Eygpt 😉

For case help or to search first, go to our Cases & Cooling Forum. That's why we have one as well as a secret search function. Don't tell anyone but the search function does help everyone.

...Galvanized

Well, the electrical grid still goes down in Cairo at about evening tea! 😉

As far as recommending? See the sticky at the top and use one of those power needs calculators and you tell me how big is big enough. I'm too lazy to finger it out myself!

How was I not being nice? lol
Don't see how location has anything to do with this either. lol

Some vendors won't ship out of the States, even to our temperature challenged cousins up North!

Some won't ship out of the UK, or France or the EU or whatever, so knowing where you're at helps us hekp you.

gotta love some naive americanos, some portions of the states are actually further up north then some portions of Canada, it's not always cold.
or are you one of those believers of snow 24/7/365.
good one sparky 😉

Not all PSUs that come with cases are crap. I have an Antec case that came with a smartpower that isn't too shabby for my stuff. However, these PSUs are usually for the "not that high end" people, so their wattage is rather low (usually 300W to 450W highest I've seen ~12v rail usually sucks though). Having said that and seeing what you are going to put in, definately go with a case without one so you can choose your own.

$133.00 plus shipping

I would get this case:

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?...pn=CAC-T05-UW&manufacture=COOLERMASTER

This case is simply the best bang for the buck case, period. It is classy looking, excellent cooling, and very easy to work with. It comes in brushed aluminum on the sides or blue or red (The blue is gorgeous) I do not know if NCIX has the colored ones but the aluminum is still very nice.

I would get this power supply:

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?...AX450-PN&manufacture=FSP%20GROUP%20USA

that power supply is a great Rec I used that case plus PSU to build somone an X2 3800 Plus system the case is a bit loud so you might want to look into something different but other than that good choices.
