CaseMod: adding extra fans

Not sure if this is correct forum, but it sounded as close as i could find.

I want to add a 120mm or 80mm fan to the bottomof my case to cool my hds. they are in a really old tower server case. and the hds don't have any direct cooling. i have had great many hd failures as a result. i have temp used a strange metal brack and stuck it next to my hds but i can't close my case with that. so what i found was a variable sized fan template from another case i saw in the store. i copied the design. well when trying to implement i underestimated the hardness of sheetmetal. what kind of bit should i use to make the mounting screw holes. what size bit and can i attach something like that to my dermel. my drill i do'nt think has the boreing power for sheetmetel. i will also need to cut out the vent holes and those heavy duity cutting blades that feel like stiff sand paper suck. one breaks about every 2" or so. do they make a metal cutting blade? the pattern is kinda like an X with mounting holes along that x and the rest can be cut out.

any suggestions greatly appriciated.

also i am trying to make a fan plug box. using a speaker wire tap. that way i can just plug 6-8 fans into this little mod box. the problm i am having is connecting them allin the little project box. is it best to just use lots of soder? or is ther a better way to attach 16wires together into a single power channel line?
