Case with watercooling installed

Hi

I am a newbie and looking at building a high spec system up from the ground, Want it to be pretty silent but also ready for high load running. Am considering watercooling but given my newbie status thought it would be best to buy a case with watercooling readily installed. Any recommendations?

if you have the time, most will recommend you do a custom water box...you'll never get the performance out of a prebuilt that you can with custom. i'd recommend searching some forums and seeing what others have thrown together. on the various forums, there are a lot of newbie posts on which components to choose and the rationale behind it. good luck and don't impulse buy...do your homework first!

Be ready to spend $250 on cooling if you want to beat a case with good airflow and a top end HSF.

watercooling is good for silence or for better then air on the top end but its a lot of money for usually a relatively small performance difference (maybe 5-10% higher overclock from top air). Most cases with water built in are not very good, but there are some good cases that have water as an option (ie easy places to install radiator, tubing holes precut...) that are good. A great (though expesnive case) is the coolermaster cosmos, it should easily take a 2x120 (and with a little work a 3x120) rad and has plenty of space, plus its quite, mostly tool less and works well with just air.

Building a costom box is the way to go, do your homework and don't rush. It is not difficult and you will find all the help you need here. Start w/ a good case, a minimum of skills/ tools and lots of common sense will go far.
