Case: what length IDE needed?

I'm looking to purchase this case. I'm sure that many folks here have it or something like it. I'm looking to place my dvd-rom and cd-rw drives in the top two 5.25" bays. What length IDE cable would I need to do so? Right now, I'm leaning towards 24" but I'd also like to minimize clutter. So would 18" do the trick?
 
i don't know if the 18's gonna reach the top. mine didn't. it also depends where the ide ports are on your mobo.
 
Thanks for the reply. I'll just play it safe and go for the 24" cables. I've heard about data transmitting problems with HDD's over such long cables, but since I'm only using DMA33 optical drives on it it should be alright.
