Case to fit this card?

Does anyone know of a mid tower case that can fit a GTX200 series card, probably a GTX260, and that has a decent design and fairly toolless set-up? Fitting the card is the most important criterion. Would like to stay under $100, cheaper if possible...

I have an Antec Lanboy case, but am not sure if the card would fit if I upgrade. If someone has this case and knows whether or not it will fit, that would be great to know.

Those don't look all that long. If your case has toolless card locks, then those may have to go, but most cases with those also offer normal screw mounting too. Any card under 10" won't extend past the edge of a standard mobo (9.8" deep). If your case has anything weird between the PCI card openings, then that may not work for double-wide cards. A reasonably light case like the C-M Mystique 631 (on sale/clearance at SVC.com for some time - original MSRP ~ $125.00) would do if the LanBoy doesn't (the 631 can't handle a 10.5" card).
I checked on the length of some eVGA cards and got a quick response - give that a shot if the mfr's web site's product page(s) doesn't supply the measurements.

Well, the eVGA site has 10.5" for the length of their top model, so it won't fit some cases. I know the Rosewill R5600 series has 11" of measured card room. See my review of those here:
http://www.techimo.com/reviews...roduct.php?product=431 . Cases like the C-M 690/590 have plenty of card room. All of these are considerably heavier than your LANBoy and may not be suitable for carrying to LAN parties.

Thanks for the reply!

I like the look and features of the C-M Mystique case. It actually appears to have the same amount of room as the Rosewill case. Will the Mystique really not handle the 10.5 inch card? Does no manufacturer offer the dimension of the usable areas of the case, especially with so many cards running long these days?

Look at a photo of the mobo pan on the 631. Note the last set of mounting screw holes near the drive racks. Those hole centers are about 1/2" from the edge of the board. The edge of a std. ATX mobo is almost exactly 10" from the back of the PCI card slots bracket. I had one here and I don't think there is room. I can contact the guy I sold it to and ask him to measure if you want. Most of the C-M centurion cases have the same measurement as the 631 chassis is basically a centurion made from aluminum. There is a list of cases that are compatible with the 8800GTX card which was also 10.5" but on some the connectors hung off the end, so you really needed extra room for those. The end of a 10.5" card would be almost exactly one inch past the centers of the last row of mount holes.

I did see the holes, but for some reason was thinking the last set was for larger boards. But looking again, I see what you are talking about, and with the proportions of most ATX boards, those have to be mounting holes for ATX. Thanks for pointing those out... I saw the C-M 690 as well. On the C-M site, it says it can handle a 315mm card, so that would work, it's just a little bigger. Can you point me to the list for 8800GTX's? Thanks again for your help.

Will not fit the Super LAN Boy, but will fit the LAN Boy (maybe with removing the 3½" drive bays).

I wouldn't bother with toolless cases because not only do they almost NEVER hold the parts as securely as using screws, the GTX 260 is a double slot card and I have yet to see a toolless mounting scheme that takes double slot cards into consideration.
