Like the summary says, my gf was watering some plants and managed to water the stereo as well (a small jvc bookshelf unit).
I remember seeing some barebones pc cases that look like these small units and have the ability to play music, etc. like a simple system would.

My googling powers escape me, and I can't seem to find any of these. Does anyone have any links/experience?

Thanks!

MSI made them, cube-something-or-others. Had a built in CD control center, could use the music part independantly of the PC (i.e., OS not booted).

Haven't seen them in a while, but try going to MSI's site or Google.

Just so you know, you wont be able to hook this computer straight to bookshelf speakers though unless this one is different from every other computer I've seen.

You'll need an amp/receiver between the computer output and unpowered speakers.

If the bookshelf speakers are powered though, it will work just fine.
