Case suggestions?

First, I do not want a door on the front of my case. I'm looking for a nice aluminum colored, black, or blue case (alum. preferred, but steel OK) that of course has good airflow. I've seen some very nice cases that appear to have no air vents in the front. Why do they do that? I also don't understand why some only put holes in the back for one fan, leaving wasted space where a 2nd could go. And no 60mm fans.
PSU doesn't matter since I'll be buying my own anyway.
I want a side window, though I have a sheet of plexi so I might could make one myself (?).
Fan in top, 120mm in front, etc. are a plus I dont mind paying a little more for.
Do the acrylic front cases crack easily?
BTW, I normally don't buy from Newegg.

The [SkyHawk MSR-4610]http://www.dealsonic.com/skmssialatxm.html[/L] isn't fancy, but price is hard to beat.

Besides what you mentioned, Newegg has a case very similar to the Dealsonic for about the same money including shipping. Then there is the Antec 3000B or the similar Compucase 6A19 (see coolcases.com for more info on the Compucase), the Evercase 42x2 series, the Kingwin 424 series or the Silverstone Berserker (yes it has a door but the door IS removable and it looks quite finished w/o the door). And Enermax has some inexpensive Al cases that they recently introduced.
. There is plenty of evidence that a top fan is not very functional but does allow you to feed your PC a coke or a beer every now and then... Put a nice slow moving 12 cm fan under there to distribute it nicely about the inside of the case. 😉

Here, have a  !

My bet is for the Antec P180. You can get one now for $102. Nice case, bery berry cool, and quiet and clean. I have one arriving today.

The P180 does not have a side window, and there will never be a P180 model that does. Modding it to create one would simply ruin the case as its plastic/aluminum-hybrid side panels are designed for being quiet. I agree wholeheartedly with your choice. I just finished building my P180 rig, but it's neither blue nor black, it's only partly aluminum, and it has no side window. I'm not sure it would fit OP's bill.
BTW, where did you find it for $102?? I think that might be a record unless the retailer wants to charge $50 for S&H.

Thanks. I'm surpised a top fan doesn't help since the heat rises. Oh well.

Antec 3000B has a door.
Compucase 6A19 - looks like an Antec (I've been using SX840), but any aluminum or gloss black?
Evercase 4292 looks good - but no front vents
Kingwin 424 - I'd been thinking about getting this one. Wish the window was flush w/ the side though instead of bolted to the outside, and clear instead of blue. Any idea the cheapest place besides Newegg?
Silverstone Berserker - no thanks
Enermax - which ones? Most seem to be sort of like the Aspire cases, but like them, no front air intakes? How can it possibly have good airflow? Do any have windows?

LOL. Did you even read the OP? The P180 is a giant door, plus what milleron said.

The evercase has vents on the sides and at the bottom of the front bezel - spcr called it a pretty freely breathing bezel. Compucase comes in black - you didn't mention GLOSS before now - very few fit that spec. ZZF has had a good price on the Kingwin 424. Beantech Igloo series is the same as Kingwin and SVC.com has carried Beantech but been OOS for a while. I haven't looked there for it lately. Admittedly the Enermax aren't very pretty. How about some of the other Silverstones like the TJ04?

You can get a P160 with a window. And all the ports are at the top of the case, good thing if you sit it on the floor.
