Case Suggestions

Howdy folks,
I need some input.

I am looking at building a system and would like your input for a case.

I am either going to buy the EPOX EP-8RDA+ or Gigabyte GA-7VAXP mobo.

here is what i am looking for in a case (in order)

1. Big. lots of bays, etc.
2. aesthetically pleasing. I would like something with very clean lines. Very rectangular in shape with no grossly rouded corners, etc, or Mutli-colored pastic. No weird vents, or molded inlays, etc.
3. Easy access.
4. priced at $100 (give or take).


There are just too many places to get a good handle on what is out there. CompUSA sucks and my local dealers arent any better.

Check this one out. $69 (on sale) for it with a large side window, but no psu. They have it in assorted colors. They are aluminum and very well built.

I have Cooler Master ATC-210C-DX1 for sale until later this afternoon. If no one wants it I am returning. I can't open to get a close up look, but it looks pretty cool in the pictures. I also have the side windowed door to match it.

If that is too fancy for you, I would suggest the Cooler Master ATC-201C or Lian Li PC-60. The ATC-201 $128 on NewEgg and the PC-60 is $98. So they are around your budget.

Antec is my suggestions. Roomy, strong, easily moddable, and have lots of neat features and accessories. Great PSU's too.

The Antec and Wave Master are in the design style (and size) i am looking for.

Chieftec actually manufactures the "Antec" style cases in the above post. I presonally like Chieftec because of the color choices and it doesn't have the "ANTEC" logo in the front usb bezel. Infact my next build will be in an AX-01BLD black case.

I use this Lian Li PC-65 and if you want a case that will last style wise and the test of time get this or one of this calibre ... :beer:

i use only antec/chieftec cases, strong build, look nice, good quality. Id find myself a deal on one of those..

I just built a system in a Antec SLK3700AMB. It is $70 at Newegg.

This is the best deal going IMHO. A quality Lian Li case with removeable motherboard tray, top fan and full complement of eight 3.5" drive bays (some cases have reduced drive bays.)

Unfortunately it's backordered, but I ordered one and they said it's due in any day now.
