I've got an AMD 64 3200+ w/ stock HS & Fan and I would like a silver case w/ room for 4 ext. 5.25" drive bays, 2 ext. 3.5" drive bays, 2 int. 3.5" drive bays and at least 1 80 mm front intake fan, 2 80mm or better exhaust fans & if possible an 80mm or better blow-hole. Is this possible from a store bought case w/ out modification?

BTW, w/ out a PS would be fine as I'm looking to buy a new one separately. Thanks in advance :)

This AMB case & PS is very promising, but I'm unsure of the drive door, any other viable suggestions? Thanks again in advance :)

Well, this Kingwin "KT-424-S-WM" seems kick butt to me, as it comes with many neat features (hdd rubber mounts, removeable mobo tray, window, 2.0 aluminum, thumbscrew theme) and it runs around $90! It has 2 80mm fans in front, but only 1 80mm fan in back, but i hear it has good airflow. Go look at some reviews of it, im sure you'll be surprised!

3700 BQE should also be considered.

The BQE is nice, but for the extra money, it really offers nothing much over the AMB. SPCR prefers the AMB over the BQE if the fan grills are removed, although the AMB's are shipping with a newer less restrictive stamped grid.

The side mounted, non-removable HD cage hinders airflow and HD cooling, but the single fan 350W PSU is a quieter unit than the dual fan model on the AMB.

Both cases are great though...I just can't see the BQE offering anything over the AMB that is worth the extra money.

But hey, that's just me. :)

The color of the BQE is enough for me. :D

My BQE has front to back drive cages though.

Second the Kingwin 424 series... For less money, look at the 3700AMB/Compucase 6A19 or the Evercase 42x2 series.

A little update, after reading plenty of reviews on-line, it looks like the Antec cases are out, too many people mention the "quality" of the drive covers and considering I use my rig everyday and want this one to last a while I'm still searching, more suggestions are welcome :)

edit: Any opinions on this case: Ahanix dBox ?

It's available in silver and instead of one large drive cover, it's got face-plates to cover up the drives :)

With Ahanix, it's all on the outside - very pedestrian inside where it counts.

Could you give me an example of the interior being "pedestrian" Zepper?

Some cases are toolless down to the mobo mounts. And others have HD isolators as std. equipment like the ones I mentioned in my first post here. Some have clip in fan cages front and rear. Ananix nada - none of the modern conveniences. Now if you're into blingy LCD displays, well they have those in spades.

Zim, your choice, but I can say the 3700AMB I just got and have been modding has a very solid front, and it is not cheap plastic. This is the first 3700 I've had or worked with, so I can't speak for the earlier models, but mine is solid, and has the redesigned fan grids. The case is a pleasure to work with and looks awesome...especially the clear coated glossy paint job it comes with.

 :)

Insane3D, did you order your case from newegg.com? The reason I ask is like you pointed out you have the newer fans grills and that is something that's definitely a need, since for the time being, I just want to install everything and hit the power button :)

In addition, since Zepper doesn't seem to be around w/ an answer to my question, what do you think of the case that I saw from Ahanix? TT gave them a "decent" review.

Insane3D, any opinion on the case I linked to from CC? :)
