Ok, this post is kinda painful for me, since I would MUCH rather just do my own mods, but since
I dont have the tools or time to do some real modding Im looking to buy one. I would like one with a window, and at least 4 spots for fans, (preferably one with a spot for a 120 blow hole at the top)

I saw some nice little cases at newegg but they seemed to have limited spots for fans and no blow hole

anyway thanks in advance

I can't imagine really needing more air flow than what you get in a Cheiftech Aluminum Silver Dragon.
Comes with 2 exhausts pre-installed, and 2 more 'Clip-Mounts' on the Hard Drive service trays (Removable boxes)
they are the PURPLE plastic devices in the front. They act directly as drive coolers as well as auxillary intake ports.
That's 4 fans, add the CPU fan and a Dual Fan power supply and you've got 7.
Should be able to hover about 2 feet above the floor with that much airflow.

How about some Cooler Master cases? I have some in hand that I can sell between $120 to $160.

---

We locked your thread offering these cases in FS/T because you work for Cooler Master, as well as for breaking several other FS/T rules. Now, you post in this forum to offer them for sale.

You have worn out your welcome in two posts. Good bye.

I found this case and with 7 fans it should work well.

Linkified

Anyone see anything wrong with it? If not I might just grab that, decent price too.

I have almost the exact case, with a different side panel. It's a nice case, except the front intake fans are almost useless since the only air intake is on the bottom of the front bezel. Not nearly enough for 4 fans.

The LiteOn FS320 (not quite sure on the model number), Antec SLK3700AMB, AMS gMono (the one for around $50 at SVC.com), and Antec Sonata case all have 120mm fan slots but I don't think any of them have the slot for a blowhole. I don't think they have stock windows either.

did you see this one? i just got this one its pretty nice, got it from newegg, i was gonna get the black cheiftec one with a window, but its oos. that maxtop one has a top 90-92mm(?) fan, a 80mm in the side. i put another 80 in the rear, and one in the front for intake. i dont like the front usb though, its white and looks funny since its supposed to be a black case.

my vote is for the antec 1080 plus, has 5 fans i beleive, and includes a antec 430watt truepower (awesome ps) power supply.

can get it at your local frys for 99 bucks.

dig your own hole!!!
depending on factory originals is far from what you need.

I would like to dig my own hole, just dont have the shovel needed and previous experimentation with shoddy spades left my last case in sad shape =)

If you have enough wind blowing through your case (IE approx enough CFM to theoretically replace the air in your case a few times a second) does aluminum actually offer much better cooling than steel?

6 fans, 3 intake 3 exhaust

3 x 84 CFM = 252 CFM

case dimensions 16.2"(H) X 8"(W) X 17.8" = 2306.88 Cubic Inches ~ 1.335 cubic Feet (note: this does not take into account the space taken up by components placed in the case, which would lower the cubic feet a bit.

252 CFM = 4.2 CFS (cubic feet per second)

4.2 CFS / 1.335 = 3.146 times the air in your case would be replaced per second assuming good placement of fans....

3 times a second? That would seem like enough to keep your case interior at room temperature with or without an aluminum case.

The only difference I found in alum. vs. steel is aesthetics and weight. I think a lot of people confuse the cooler temps with the fact that premium alum. chassis' have more fan mounts and superior airflow design. That's just my opinion though ;)

I'll 2nd CaptnKirk and add that this is the case I got, though I added two fan holes to my door's window. (1 exhaust at the top-center of the window, 1 intake at the bottom-center)

So Valnir's case can not only float in mid-air, it can rotate as well with the portside thrusters.

The Aluminum case , lowers the hernia factor - loaded weighs about like the empty steel.
