Case suggestions for AMD 64 system with Terabyte of HDD space

I am building a new pc as follows
Antec True Power 550w PS
Logitech Cordless MX Duo
2x1024 Ifineon Technologies PC 3200 ECC ram
4x250GB Maxtor SATA HDD
PNY Geforce FX 5900 Ultra
Lite-on 8X Dual Drive
Memorex 48x24x48 CD-RW
30" NEC LCD display
and the debatingis between the 64 FX 51 or the 64 3400
and a case and perhaps special heat sink and fan to keep it all cool can anyone help me

That is one hell of a system you've got there. How about the Cooler Master Wave case?

thank you, I am going with a giga-byte socket 940 Nforce 3 MB, and a the AMD 64 FX 51, would that cause you mentioned be ideal for keeping the complete setup cool

If your going to blow that much I'd atleast get a graphics card that does Pixel Shadders correctly.
I'd also throw out one of those HDs and put in a 72Gb Raptor for the Operating System. I'd also do some research on those LCDs. Toss out the Lite-On and get a Plextor, its much quieter and no other burner can put 1GB on a CD-RW.

what video card would you suggest, I already have all the harddrives but I can easily add a 5th, and I already owned the lite on and I am not trying to put a gig or a CD-RW, and I did do research on the monitor, I wouldnt have spent 4 grand on it had I not

a lot of benchmakrs put the athlon 64 3400 ahead of the fx51.


maybe you should wait until the fx53 comes out which should be soon.


seeing as you are getting a 5900 ultra , why not get a 9800xt or pro.
