Looking to expand my media storage pc with more hard drive room so looking for a new case to get things going. I'd like something with at least 6 tool less hard drive slots. As this will mostly be used as a storage unit to be streamed from, don't have any requirements for specialized cooling.

What are some good models to look into?

Do you usually stack HDDs right on top of each other or do you prefer leaving a gap?

not looking for expensive as it's only for a storage machine, size doesn't really matter for same reason.

Budget and form factor?

I currently have a Lian Li PC-C50. I wish it was a PC-C60 for the 6x3.5" bays (also 3x2.5" and 2x5.25").

I read media storage and not HTPC. Of course, he could want it in his living room so it could be an option. I want to get the PC-C60 for my HTPC build, but my file server is in my office next to my main rig.

Well, if you have no requirements on size/form-factor, then look into at something like a Norcotek RPC-4224 (and get the 120mm fan mount kit). If money isn't an issue, look at a Supermicro SC846XA-R1K28.
