I'm putting a new rig together and can't decide on a case. I want something that is quality built, with good noise and cooling properties (doesn't everyone?). I don't need a psu. I'll probably end up getting the antec slk3000b, but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. I can get the antec for $61 shipped at the egg so I would want something around this price.

thanks

SLK3000B is $46 shipped from Amazon.com. Get a 2nd 120mm fan and you're set.

Evercase 42x2 (4252, 4272, 4292) series (Asus Vento is based on this chassis if that makes any diff to you). Equal to Antec 3000-B in cooling and noise potential and has more tool-free features (see silentpcreview.com) but you will probably have to buy the HD cushions direct from Evercase (depends on how your dealer specs them when he orders - ask!) - you can get extra HD cages etc. from them too but have to do it by phone, no e-commerce on web site (dumb, I know).
. Athenatech A600 series has potential (have to mod your own HD cushions). Silverstone Berserker (ditto cushions - or could use Coolermaster 4x3 cage in bottom bays). Kingwin 424 series. Compucase 6A19 - same as Antec 3700-AMB with a different look. Etc, etc...

I haven't seen an ATHENATECH A600, but I just picked up an AOpen A600.

OH MY GOD! This thing is NICE!

I can see why Tom's gave it case of the year.

6 HDD rails, two external 3.5" bays, four 5.25" bays, front USB/Audio, rear 120MM fan with built in fan speed control and fan speed control for additional fan, all aluminum and an added bonus.... I bought it thinking there was no power supply. It came with an FSP 350W! :D
