Hello everyone,

While thinking about doing some of my first case modding i started to think to myself about the best way to make a template for cutting a design in the side of my case. I came to the conclusion that a die-cut sticker that would serve as an outline for the design being created - might be the best way to do this. What i was thinking was having the sticker made (just the outlines of the design you want) then apply the sticker to the outside of your case. You could then dremel out the entire inside of the design without ever having to fiddle with a cardboard or paper template.

What do you guys think?

Also, would anyone be interested in vinyl stickers for their cases? Such as accents and other kits? This is a much easier way of making a slick looking case without the hassle of painting. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,

- RJ

My template = Sharpie permanent marker + imagination.

Vinyl stickers aren't the ones that static-cling to your case are they? Or do they have an adhesive? IMO, stickers other than case badges on your case are ghetto :)

Vinyl stickers would have adhesive on the back of them.

I see where you're coming from in terms of stickers being "ghetto" - but it's usually the people who do a ghetto job. It's far and few between when you see someone do something 'tastefully' to their cases. Anyway, i appreciate the feedback. :)
